Kate Hinton

A creative, results driven PR and Public Affairs professional, Kate has worked in senior in-house roles for over 14 years delivering on campaigns that have led to significant policy change. For the past 5 years she has been freelancing and has a portfolio of clients covering a range of sectors including Zipcar, Education & Training Foundation, Made by Many, The Daily Telegraph, Dayuse, Green Energy, People who Share, and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

Kate’s expertise includes working with CEO’s to devise thought leadership and research campaigns that drive media, stakeholder and business. Her work ranges from research that she developed and promoted with IEMA which led them to achieving media coverage in key business titles such as the FT, Director Magazine and Financial Director, and led to Government introducing mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting for companies. She also designed research for Zipcar on their Pay As You Live Report that achieved coverage including the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail.

More recently she has worked with the Education & Training Foundation, on their STEM skills campaign to raise awareness of the need for more maths and English teachers, securing features in The Independent and The Daily Telegraph.

And one of her most recent successes was working with Zipcar to raise awareness of the benefits of car clubs in London. Working from a base of zero awareness within 18 month the research and evidence based campaign had gained Ministerial, widespread stakeholder and political support, coverage in the FT and a Car Club Strategy for London was launched.
